Full remodel of an existing kitchen with high ceilings, requiring bespoke cabinetry. Sage green shaker fronts with copper hardware and marble worktops.
The customer had a vaulted-ceiling extension in Co. Wexford and wanted a kitchen that suited the scale of the room — full height, generously proportioned, with a central island that could anchor the open-plan space. The room had to function as a daily kitchen for two people often working from home, while feeling considered enough to entertain in.

Standard kitchens fight a vaulted ceiling — the wall cabinets stop at 2.4m and leave a void above. We designed full-height cabinetry that respects the ceiling line, with display units in the upper section so the height is used, not just filled. The result is cabinetry that reads as part of the room's structure, not furniture sitting inside it.
The central island carries the induction hob, a bar-stool seating run, and an integrated wine fridge in the end gable. We designed it deeper than a standard island so the hob and the seating zone don't overlap visually. The waterfall-style worktop joints give the piece a clean, monolithic feel from across the room.
The cabinets are painted in a deep sage green that takes the eye level down — useful in a tall room — while the walls and ceiling stay neutral. The copper hardware (cup pulls, knobs, pendant lights) ties to the natural wood window frames already in the house. Nothing was added that didn't have a job to do.
A kitchen built for the long term in a room that asked for character. Two years on, the customer reports they still notice details they hadn't seen before, and have asked Tony to return to fit fitted wardrobes elsewhere in the house.
“There was no such thing as a silly question with Tony, and his aftercare has been fantastic. He worked cleanly and was respectful of the fact that we were both working from home. We'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, reliable, thoughtful kitchen fitter.”
